海克力士長戟大兜蟲（學名：Dynastes hercules），又名「海克力士大兜蟲」，成蟲體長最長紀錄為181毫米，是全世界最大的甲蟲。力量極大，可以舉起自身體重850倍的物體，因此以希臘神話中的大力士海克力士命名^[1]，然而，一般顯示其承載能力僅達100倍的體重^[2][3]。和一般所稱的「獨角仙」不同，而正式的獨角仙指的是叉犀金龜屬當中的獨角仙和其的六個亞種。

長戟大兜蟲屬完全變態，幼蟲期約1-1.5年，長度可達180毫米，重量可達150克。幼蟲期之後會化蛹，羽化之後的成蟲以樹汁或腐爛的水果為食。

長戟大兜蟲兩性異型：

雄蟲有犄角，可分為頭角與胸角。

雌蟲無犄角。
